At juggling Barry and I practiced Jim's Jamboree and almost got a successful run on video.
Barry: Chutney-Jam-Marmalade-Compote
Carl: Jam-Marmalade-Compote-Chutney
p=pass
s=self
c=cross
f=flip
pscsf Jim's Jam
pfpsf Martin's Marmalade
cfpss Carl's Compote (starts left)
cscss Cheat's Chutney (starts left)
When going from a right-starting pattern into a left-starting or going from a left-starting pattern into a right-starting pattern a transition is necessary. A transition toggles the last throw so that a self becomes a flip and a flip becomes a self.
Barry:
cscss
cscsf *
pscsf
pscsf
pfpss *
cfpss
cfpss
cfpsf *
Carl:
pscsf
pscsf
pfpsf
pfpss *
cfpss

cscss

* transition on last throw
As can be seen, Barry started Compote early, doing half of Marmalade, half of Compote before doing the full Compote.
